Vigilance Awareness Week" is being celebrated in the Vidyalaya From 31-10-2011 to 05-11-2011.

Social Science Exhibition is going to be organized in the Vidyalaya on 01-11-2011.

"HINDI DIVAS" is being Celebrated in the Vidyalaya on 14-09-2011.

"HINDI PAKHWADA " is being organized in the vidyalaya from 14-09-2011 to 30-09-2011.

A guidance for future career under 'Career & Guidance Programme' a seminar has been organized with IIPM, Delhi in the Vidyalaya on 08-04-2011. In this seminar the students of Class - XII from various schools i.e. Ummat Public School, K.V. No2, and K.V. No1 were participated

Summative Assessment - IV Exam. for Class IX has been started from 04-March-2011 in the Vidyalaya .

The Class XII Farewell has been organized at the Vidyalaya on 22-Feb-2011.

The Class XII AISSCE PRACTICAL EXAM is to scheduled from 05-Feb-2011 to 10-Feb-2011 at the Vidyalaya.

The Class XII Preboard - II exam has been completed on 24-Jan-2011 at the Vidyalaya.

The Cluster level ( KV1 & KV2 ) CMP Meeting for Primary teachers has been organized on 27/01/2011 at the Vidyalaya.

The II nd Preboard of Class - XII is going on at the vidyalaya.

The 62 nd Republic Day has been organized at the Vidyalaya. Several cultural programms were presented by the students.

The Cluster level ( KV1 & KV2 ) Sports Meet for Primary Students has been conducted on 28/12/2010 at the Vidyalaya.

The Annual sports Day 2010-11 is going to be celebrated at the vidyalaya from 20/12/2010 to 23/12/2010. The Closing ceremony will be held on 23/12/2010. All the parents are invited.

The Parent Teachers Meeting and Advocacy Programme is to held on 18/12/2010 at the vidyalaya from 09:00am to 10:30 pm.

The school library is going to organise “carrers and counselling week?in the month of december 2010 from 18th dec 2010 to 24th dec 2010.

The Port Blair cluster level ( KV No.1 & KV No.2 ) competitions i.e. Quiz, Painting etc. has been organized at the Vidyalaya for Primary students of KV 1 and KV 2 on 04-12-2010.

The studey material of various subjects received from KVS RO Kolkata have been distributed among students by the Principal sir.

Maths olympiad - 2010 by Science Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi has been scheduled to be held in the Vidyalaya on 02/12/2010.

Science olympiad - 2010 by Science Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi has been held in the Vidyalaya on 18/11/2010. Total 119 students have been registered in this exams and total 113 students have been appeared in this exam.

Established in the year 1966, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Portblair,is a premier centre of education in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar. Functioning under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, the vidyalaya was founded under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalya Sangathan. It falls under the civil sector and strives to fulfill the educational requirement of Central Government employees and others on priority basis. Sharing with other Kendriya Vidyalayas all over India certain characteristic features, it is a miniature India, endeavouring to foster and develop in young minds feelings of national integration and universal brotherhood. The school comes under the Kolkata region of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.This school has got a number of awards in the field of education i.e. "Exellance in Education" Award by the Directorate of Education, Andaman and Nikobar Islands - Administration and recently Award of "Best School of Andaman" by the Directorate of Education, Andaman and Nikobar Islands - Administration.
