of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which is supported by
Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Nature study SACON)
& Department of Biotechnology, Government of India .
Students are very much enthusiastic and eager to take
part in all activities of DNA Club. This is
because the way they start doing the work, the way they
investigate, the way they analyze the things, what they
have observed, what they have learnt, what they have to
investigate and so on. Parents are really showing
and showering the cooperation and affection when ever
and where ever and what so form it is required for
carrying out the activities.
Mainly the club activities are ordered and executed in

to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to provide us with
online communication system among the Kendriya
Vidyalayas through Oracle Education Foundation.
Students have been registered in www.Thinkquest.com and
each member has the accessibility to upload the
information with him/her in his/her web pages in the
“thinkquest” portal. It is the interest of the
students to upload the project works and other
activities of the DNA Club in their web pages and they
wanted to make it available for the global people across
the globe. Shri. D. R. Meena , Principal of the
Vidyalaya has been graciously permitting the members of
DNA Club to use the internet facility available in
the Vidyalaya for such useful activities without any
time constrain.
VI. Guest Lectures: DNA Club has
been arranging the guest lectures from locally available
resource persons to enrich the knowledge of the students
either pertaining to their projects or any other
scientific matters.
Dr. Devkumar Bhadra, From Institute of Geomagnetism has
given lecture on Biodiversity , study of Seismic waves,
effects of Tsunami etc. to our students and it was very
interesting as the lecture has been delivered with the
help of LCD Projector available in the school.
Mr. Rajan , Research scholar has always been
with us to monitor the works regularly and guide our
students as and when needed.
Mr. Xavier delivered guest lecture on Personal Development
and it is very much appreciated by all our members as
his lecture has transformed the students from being
introverts to vibrant personalities.
Dr. Pramod, Principal coordinator of DNA Clubs in
andamans , is really igniting and inspiring the
young minds of our DNA Club members to progress in their
work without bothering about any kind of hurdles come
across their path of progress . Whenever he visits the
Andamans and our members he gives lectures, takes our
students to nature study and takes them the world
of scientific temperament. Recently on 4th
December he visited along with Mr. Xavier and
reviewed the progress of the activities and delivered
lecture on all the on going projects for further
improvement and investigation.
We are happy to receive Desktop, Digital Camera ,literature on
birds and other essential devices such as Water
testing Kit, Haemometer, Hygrothermometer, from Dr.
Pramod, Principal coordinator of DNA Clubs in
andamans. And we ensure that the things will yield the
fruits in its due course of time.
We hope that the Department of Biotechnology will
support our future scientists to work with the right
spirit by providing technological and monitory support
for the activities and projects of DNA Clubs in
Andamans and at other places across the country.
