SCHOOL BUINDING: Kendriya vidyalaya No.1. was established in the  year 1966, the vidyalaya is situated at Aberdeen Bazar in Port Blair, sprawling in a very spacious and elegant location .  The building was developed on modern lines of architecture is itself suggestive of the school’s multidimensional approach.  Keeping the ecological balance in the mind, the school has started planting as many number of plants as possible to have green lush patches in and around  the vidyalaya premises .Separate blocks are made for Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary classes with well furnished and ventilated classrooms.

 

PLAY GROUND:A huge playground is our asset to train  school children in various games and Sports Activities..  The vidyalaya has volley ball court , foot ball ground, Cricket ground, Basket ball Court and  Badminton court  as feathers in its cap.

 

LABORATORIES:The Vidyalaya has separate, spacious , well-equipped and highly sophisticated  Physics lab, Chemistry Lab and Biology lab to train the students in various curricular practicals and to expose them to the practical way of learning.

           

COMPUTER LABS: To keep pace with the ever-progressive Info Tech World, the Vidyalaya offers its students an opportunity to learn computer education by providing them  three separate dust free computer labs( going to be air-conditioned very soon) for Primary Secondary and Senior Secondary classes with Broad Band Inter net connection to explore new vistas in the field of education.

 

LIBRARY: To cater to the need of developing reading habits in students, the Vidyalaya provides its students more than ten thousand books with wide variety in all disciplines.
